Music diva, Beyonce Knowles Carter just broken a 126 year old jinx when she hired a first ever black photographer to shoot the Vogue’s September issue cover that she will be featuring in, this unprecedented control was given to her by the editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour.
The 36 year old American pop queen, Beyonce who was recently given unprecedented control over the Vogue’s September issue has used this wonder advantage to hire a black photographer which will be the very first time the giant media house will be using a black photographer to shoot its cover in 126 years in its publication history.
According to two sources who are familiar with the new contract Beyonce made with Vogue Magazine but they are not authorized to speak to the press about it, were quoted on HuffingtonPost.comsaying that
“The publication is contractually obligated to give Beyonce full control over the cover, the photos of her inside the magazine and the captions which she has written herself and are in long form”
One of the inside sources also disclosed that Beyonce hired the black photographer. Tyler Mitchell who will be the first black photographer to shoot a cover in the 126 years of Vogue’s publication history.
The 23 year old Tyler Mitchell has the privilege to be photographing the music icon for the cover of Vogue because Beyonce uses her influence and power to get him that project claimed a source to the magazine.
This will be a big achievement for Tyler to be working with such a big name in the industry and this will skyrocket his career to a whole new level especially with all the publicity surrounding this September issue.
Beyonce’s last September issue cover was in 2015 and she worked with a white photographer, Mario Testino, who has worked several time with the editor-in-chief of the magazine, Anna Wintour but why Beyonce decided to work with a black photographer, the reasons are best known to her.
On Twitter, fans of the Bee Queen are still awed by her move and not wanting to grant any interview to explain her actions for breaking this 126 years old record of Vogue’s. See what Twitter community are saying about it.

The young photographer in his own words said that his work of black people and people of color depicts realness in a pure way;
“I depict black people and people of color in a really real and pure way,” Says Mitchell.
Tyler Mitchell has already made a name for himself working with fashion giant such as Givency and Marc Jacobs told The New Timess in December 2017. “There is an honest gaze to my photos”

But according to another source familiar with Vogue’s editorial process, Anna Wintour typically would prefer to hire a photographer with more traditional experience and exposure to do the work and likely would not have go with Tyler Mitchell for the cover shoot.
