A lady identified as Gugu Ncube has been arrested in Pretoria after staging a naked protest outside the Union Buildings over sexual harassment at her workplace. The woman was arrested based on public indecency.
Gugu Ncube was also reported to be the daughter of Welshman Ncube, deputy president of Movement for Democratic Change (MDC). She was demanding to speak to president Cyril Ramaphosa about the sexual abuse she allegedly suffered while working at the University of South Africa. (UNISA)
The Zimbabwean politician’s daughter said she was stripped of her dignity after she reported a sexual harassment case against her boss and was later laid off her work after that. Miss Ncube was dragged into a police van shortly after she protested half naked.
Sunnyside police spokesperson Captain Daniel Mavimbela said she has been charged with public indecency.
Members from the Sunnyside police station were called to the Union Buildings after it was reported that there is a woman who was allegedly standing naked near the building. On our arrival, we executed an arrest.
A twitter handle posted a video where the protesting lady was dragged roughly into a police waiting.

I have tried sending the president emails, everybody around the president they keep on not taking my message to the president. Dear United Nations, please intervene, I am a victim of sexual harassment at UNISA, they claimed I have resigned, I never resigned, they chased me away from work because I refused to sleep with my manager Mhlaba Edward Shibambo. United Nations, come down for me.”
