Gone are those days where African women or women in general are gromed purposely to please their husband and take on the role of domestic matrimonial chores. Our civilization has expanded in such a speed that the word feminism now exist and more women are now finding their voices in a male dominated society. Some men are now realising the sacredness and burdens a women bears in silence all through their lives. That’s why when once in a while when we see a man or husband who helps out with domestic chores in the house we call them “Woman wrapper” but are they really woman wrapper or true romantic?
A facebook user identified as Des Dokubo Dennis took to his timeline to post about a man who helped his wife prepared dinner of Egusi soup and Eba because his wife was too tired that day to do so. Read the caption of the post below:
“YOUR WIFE IS YOUR BETTER HALF, NOT A SLAVE….
Madam was tired, so I took over the Kitchen, cooked Vegetable Soup and prepared Eba for Us to eat, Husbands should help their wives biko, you won’t die….”
This type of devoted and matureness in a man is what every woman nowadays dreams of, a man who can take to the kitchen whenever his woman is too tired to do so. Thou our modern society is slowing shedding the mentality that it is only a woman’s job to run the kitchen and an abomination for a man to be in the kitchen but few who are still attached to the old norms are yet to embrace this phenomenonal.
