The people of Doma Local Government Area experienced a wave of fresh air between Monday and Tuesday as the camp of community empowerment moved its train to the Doma headquarter.
The foundation that embarked on a three days tour through the constituency started its maiden community empowerment edition in Awe LGA on the 24th November and was at Doma LGA the on the 25th November to disburse scholarship and token to market women where the receptive committee met with the Nalaraba Foundation team to set up for the business of the day.
Over 200 market women and students were awarded a grant and scholarship respectively, marking a new beginning for the people of the rural area who have never had such rapport with their representative.
Honorable Abubakar Nalaraba, the founder of the initiative was at the disbursement exercise earlier today at Doma and met with notable persons of the community and also to make sure that his presence was an inspiration to the constituency he represents and afterwards.
Haderotakisblog had a brief conversation yesterday with a media person of the Nalaraba Foundation team, Isyaka Abawa Ken, wanting to know if this initiative is only a onetime thing but we were assured that this is empowerment that will continue as long as Hon. Nalaraba continues to represent his people.
Among the notable sons and daughters presented at the Doma disbursement were Mr. Thomas Ogiri, Former Head of Service & Adviser to Gov Almakura on Labour Matters, Hon. Mustapha Yahaya Idris, Hon. John nyach, and Hon. Fidelis Ebu.
The foundation made its final stop in Keana Local Government Area on the 26th November where a huge crowd of the community met the Nalaraba foundation team in the town hall.
According to eyewitnesses, the Keanians were excited to experience the women empowerment initiated by Honorable Abubakar Nalaraba, though the initiative is not the first of its kind but it is the first kind where a substantial amount is being disbursed to beneficiaries across the constituency.
Could Hon. Nalaraba be the modern-day hero of his constituency? While some are hailing him for the good work his foundation is doing, some are not entirely satisfied and wanted more to be done.
